15-05-2013			Initial Idea The first task of the project was to research about single camera production documents that were essential to get some evidence on future preferences for my work. We needed to get into groups and make a small brainstorm about what ideas we can use into the practical.
20-05-2013			Initial Idea After getting into small groups for the short film, we then started to put our initial ideas into action. By these, we put the themes, synopsis, character and setting for the story that we intended to look on and check what was suited and best for the role.
20-05-2013			Initial Idea We then moved onto the 3rd task of the project. This is the most important criterion of the whole planning for the music video. Each member of the group was required to create a production folder for my idea with the assumption that our idea maybe will go into production. The documents should contain these standard production paperwork e.g. -        Call Sheets -        Equipment List -        Risk Assessments -        Production Schedule -        Script -    Locations/Props List
22-05-2013			Pre Production One of the first tasks I did was to make the call sheet with one of my peers in the groups who gave me some support on how to do the call sheet. The call sheet is basically it’s a sheet of paper issued to the cast and crew of a film production, informing them where and when they should report for a particular day of shooting.
22-05-2013			Pre Production The 2nd part of the production document was to create an equipment list for us to make sure what props we use for the filmmaking. This would be a crucial document for us to make sure what props we use for to record the music video itself.
27-05-2013			Pre Production I then later went to do the risk assessments for the project; it’s an occupational sheet for to assess the risks of any duty for filmmaking. This assessment is carried out to prevent and accident or injury taking place in the future.
27-05-2013			Pre Production The last document we needed to do for task 3 was to make a script for the actors. This will basically give them the lines they need to rehearse; therefore it will give them a role of what character they will act as.
03-06-2013 - 12-06-2013			Production We than start to do the production work for the music video. Following on from the initial ideas and planning’s, we will use the specific locations and make sure this production of a music video comes to a success.
19-06-2013			Evaluation After I done all my production work and all my pre production work and got them out of the way, we then have to undertake a review of your production work and your own performance. (500 words) You should consider: ·      What role was I given, was the role a well suited one for you? ·      The initial idea of the project? ·       What went well? ·       What went wrong? ·       What would you change?

SCENE 1 - Danny's COUCH (bed)

Danny has just received a phone-call from his doctor informing him he has cancer

DANNY

Yeah... Yeah... I understand... No it's fine, don't be. Okay... Okay thanks. Bye.

Danny lays on his couch and reminisces, hearing voices and re-sighting memories before he falls into a deep sleep.

He wakes up to an alarm  and slowly realizes he is late for college. He gets up and slowly makes his way to college, skipping a shower. He smells his arm-pit and makes his move to college.

SCENE 2 - The bus journey

EXT - LONDON BUS - LATE EVENING

Danny is making his way to college, quieter than ever, ignoring everybody from his friends to people physically in his way.

GIRL ON BUS

Hi Danny (Awkwardly waves with shy mennerism), I like your shirt.

Danny ignores her with headphones in ears.

Scene 3 - COLLEGE CORRIDOR

INT - COLLEGE CORRIDOR - DAYLIGHT

Danny is strolling through college corridor with a serious yet depressed facial expression and bodily language.

DANNY ! Yo, my nigga ! (Puts out hand to high-five Danny) Aye, What's the matter wit--- Oh so you're gona air man is that what it is ?

Danny ignores friend completely, not even stopping to acknowledge his presence.

SCENE 4 - THE CLASSROOM

INT - CLASS ROOM - WELL LIT

Danny finally strolls his way to class, on arrival, immediately notices Tyler speaking to Scarlett. He pauses. He walks and takes his seat behind them (Where sidique sits)

(Scarlett and Tyler, talking and flirting. Scarlett blushing and laughing)

Danny is sitting watching every movement with an emotionless facial expression and mere body movement

Scene 5 - The bus journey back home

Danny is on the bus going home

scene 6 - DANNY'S COUCH (BED) PT. II

INT - DARK LIT, TELEVISION LIGHT FLICKERING

Danny is laying looking towards ceiling, his mother is shouting in the background. He's ignoring her. He turns on his side (Facing the Camera). He looks at a photo of Scarlett and begins crying with a solid and composed facial expression

Danny begins having hallucinations of strangling Tyler on his sofa, Scarlett shouting to stop and friends trying to hold him back.

The short hallucination ends and he is looking at the photo.

Scene 7 - THE CORNER NEXT TO BARRINGTON'S CLASS

INT - COLLEGE CORRIDOR - DARK LIT/ HIGH SHADOW IN-FRONT OF CAMERA (Blue tinted light)

Danny is sitting a long the wall on the floor, waiting for his classroom door to open. (Bandana)

Scene 8 - In his classroom studying

Danny is studying

The shot changes and he is now idle, staring into space.

Danny starts hearing Tyler's voice in his head. (Non-Diagetic)

Scene 9 - Bus journey back home (Night time)

Danny is at the dinner table eating alone.

Danny is sitting at opposite side of wall to scene 7, door opens, people walking out. Danny begins crying and throwing books.

Danny is laying on couch again.

He has the same hallucination of strangling tyler, another of Scarlett screaming and crying.

Scene 15 - College Corridor

Danny is walking through the college corridor in an aggressive manner, wearing a hooded jumper and bandana.

CLASSMATE

Hey, Dan where are you going ? You don't have any classes today.

Danny shoves past and walks towards his classroom

Girl follows with high concern.

CLASSMATE

Danny ?? Danny where are you going, what's your problem lately man ! Danny !! DANN--

Danny grabs girl in abusive manner

DANNY

Where's Tyler.

CLASSMATE

What ? Tyler?  Why do you wa---

DANNY

Where's Tyler? Where the fuck is Tyler ! (Slightly more aggressive)

CLASSMATE

I don't know !! I don't know Danny. Last I saw he was with Scarlett by the boys toil---

Danny let's go off girl and storms back opposite direction

CLASSMATE

Danny WAIT ! Why do you need Tyler!

DANNY

Call me again and i'll blow those math equations out of --- (Stops and calmly talks to girl)

DANNY

Look, Just call an ambulance.. send them to the toilet. Okay ?

CLASSMATE

Okay. But wh--

DANNY

OKAY ?

CLASSMATE

Okay Danny. Okay.

Danny walks to boys toilet, he can hear Scarlett and Tyler having sex. He goes in.

Danny is walking towards the only locked cubical. He kicks open the door

Scarlett

DANNY, WHAT THE F- I CAN EXPLAIN DANNY !

Tyler

Aye, Aye, just put that thing do--

DANNY

I'm sorry.

SCENE 17 - cOLLEGE CORRIDOR

INT - REGULAR LIGHTING

Loud Gunshot sound echos through college.

There's no trace of who done it. Nobody seems to know. The CCTV had been off. Maybe one of your "PERFECT" students were tryna hide something from you.

TYLER

Damn, He died ? He didn't even turn up to college for the last few weeks. Who would've ever known.

FILM TITLE: Scapegoat

Genre: Romance, Social-Drama & Thriller

Theme: Scapegoat, Betrayal, Love, Hatred, Torment

General Synopsis: The main storyline of this is that the storyline is about a guy called Danny who is sleeping in his room and he has a weird dream. This dream conducts of him being in the same room but waking up to a call that he get's strangely from his doctor. After having mixed thoughts and feeling of what the situation is, he then gets a answer from the doctor that he is diagnosed with cancer and he then has a very angry and frustrating feeling about the situation. 

After he hears that he is diagnosed with the problem, next day when he attends college he is not responding to any of his class mates, ignoring them one by one and therefore he is that stubborn and anxious with everyone that he even misses class, and no one knows how the current situation he has is terribly affecting his life and routines. After of couple days of not seeing anyone and just missing out classes day by day, he then see's something that torments him within his minds and emotions. His best friend Tyler aka his brother for life is been seen with his girlfriend Scarlett, flirting, having an amusing time with her, not caring what the situation is going on with Danny and therefore taking risk to unleash Danny's rage. 

When Danny enters the scene where he see's his girlfriend and Tyler having a flirtatious conversation he then is enraged by this problem and later is gone with angered emotions. One of Danny's other mates Zack see's this situation occurring and confronts Tyler and Scarlett face to face telling them that Danny has been suffering for the past day's with a brain tumor syndrome (cancer) and has been affecting his way of life and the reason why he hasn't hardly spoken to anyone.

After when Tyler hears the moment of pain from what Zack say's Scarlett then leaves with sad emotions making her feel destructed by the news and Tyler then goes to the toilet. Danny then see's Tyler entering the toilet and then is going to the toilet to do something he has never done before (which is revenge). When Danny enters the toilet, he then draws out a gun from his pocket and then waits for the moment for Tyler to come out and shoots him twice into the body (head and heart). When Tyler is shot down and seeing terrible retribution done and dusted by Danny suddenly the scene is ended with a fade...

Similarities with films & other media relations:
This 5 minute movie has loads of similar concepts with huge stories within the media and also films that relate to the situation of the story.

Films like: Adulthood, Going down, The Crazies have drawn the inspiration from the way the cinematography, camera shots, plot-line have demonstrated amazing sequences and gave me an idealistic thought that I can compare my own synopsis with these great films. This is because that if I can compare the relevant sequences taken within those films, I can totally fufill the content with good uses of shots and a continuous story line that will amaze the audience.

SFX's:
I will be using loads of Digetic & Non-Digetc sound in the short 5 minute film to mix the tensity and make the story line more dramatic.

• Sounds such as the city noise, the park with birds, and many more atmospheric noises can give the digetic sound for the audience to hear and the characters themselves.
